Balli's first Beach Rugby event will held under the lights on the evening of the 18th August on the beach in front of Grand
Bali Beach Hotel.
1.1 PLAYING AREA
Shall be 30 mts long (not including in goal) by 24 mts wide
In goal area to be 3 mts wide
1.2 TEAMS
Every Team is composed of 5 players plus 7 reserves
The reserves can come on and off without referees knowledge but only in stop of play.
Entry of reserves can only be at the half way line
But exit of reserves can be anywhere.
In the situation the referees notices that a team has more than 5 players on the field the following accurs
A) play is stopped
B) team with more players has a penalty against them
C) the previous play can be canceled if the offending team has benefited
1.3 CAPTAIN & REFEREES
During the game only Captains can speak with the referee and only during stop of play.
1.4 SCORING
Try is worth one point and there are no conversions
1.5 BALLS
Recommended ball is a size 4 ball
1.6 KICKING
No kicking of ball allowed
1.7 RESTARTS
No lineouts or scrums play restarts with a tap
1.8 TACKLING
When the ball carrier is tackled and stopped,the player has 2 seconds to release the ball ,if the ball is not played back
within 2 seconds according to the referee then it is a turnover to the opposing team,who restart with a tap.
1.9 KICKOFF
After a try is scored only the defending player that picks up the ball in goal area can restart immediately otherwise
in all other situations the scoring team has to be in postion before the kick off can accurr.
1.10 OFF SIDE
Defending team has be back 5 mts from ruck,infringement of this rule is a penalty to attacking team from 5mts in front
of the ruck
1.11 GAME TIME
The game will be of two 5 min halves with 3 min halftime.Each team can have 1 timeout per game of 30 seconds only when
in possession.
1.12 DRAWS
In the eventuality of a draw,then the game goes into sudden death extra time with no time limit.Team that scores first
wins
1.13 POINT TABLES
In the eventuality of teams having equal points in the round robin groups then
a)the team that has scored most trys advances,
b)in case the teams are still equal then its points for and against,and
c) if the teams are still equal,then the youngest team will go through.(total of age of players divided by 12.
All other regulations follow the IRFU,ARFU and IRB apply.
